Dependabot adds context for prioritizing vulnerabilities
GitHub announced a public preview that checks whether code can reach vulnerable dependency functions. It targets JavaScript and TypeScript projects on GitHub Enterprise Cloud, subject to configuration requirements. Teams must enable it; it adds context to Dependabot alerts without automatically dismissing or closing them. Uncertain results should be treated as reachable, while unavailable results require normal triage.
